As corporate offices roll into the final quarter of the year, themes of celebratory resilience against a tumultuous economy & appreciation of the collective hard work are on the minds of management offices globally. With rising costs and a tough economic outlook, this event was close to being cancelled, but much credit goes to the management team of this particular brand who were adamant that their company do something not simply for their staff, but with their brethren.
And what a response they received. With a 300-strong staff turnout, the evening transformed from a typical company dinner to an energetic jamboree, rife with table games, stage antics, prizes and joy. Oftentimes a large crowd finds ways to disengage itself from some activities but on this particular evening, the multiple screens, engaging table tablet platform and age-appropriate table games proved to be a masterstroke, with all in attendance participating from whistle start to finish line! Instead of having to ramp up the energy, we found ourselves having to reign in the enthusiasm for the possibility of hype getting out of control!
As the evening wound down and participants broke for the catered dinner outside the function space, our Outdoor Adventures team sat spent on the stage, drawn in by the crazy enthusiasm of the participants. Unforeseen but not unwelcome, we realised that the detailed planning and choice of activities were pivotal for the success of the programme and we’re thrilled that everyone had a great time. What an experience!
